DO YOU REALLY SUBSCRIBE TO THE OVERTURNING OF AN ESTABLISHED LAW HERE IN CALIFORNIA, TO THE REWRITING OF THE CONSTITUTION TO FIX DISCRIMINATION INTO LAW, THE NULL-AND-VODING OF OVER 10,000 LEGAL MARIAGES AND THE SUBSEQUENT MISERY IT WOULD CAUSE TO COUNTLESS FAMILIES AND COUPLES? I'm not being quick to judge; I'm from the UK, I live in the US (you can be as local-centric and parochial as you like but what happens here ultimately affects you too)and have fought tooth and nail for LGBT rights all my life since coming out in 1967 age 16. GAY MARRIAGE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN DEFEATED IN CALIFORNIA FLORIDA AND ARIZONA LARGELY BECAUSE OF THE RELENTLESS MEDIA CAMPAIGN FUNDED BY THE MORMON AND ROMAN CATHOLIC "CHURCH" MACHINES, A CAMPAIGN INCLUDING ONLINE STRAPS AND BANNER ADS; IF IT WAS PLACED BY GOOGLE AT LEAST SHOW SOME SPINE AND ASK GOOGLE WHY???? THOSE CHURCHES ARE ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE OCTOPOID REACH CERTAINLY WILL AFFECT YOU ONE DAY WHEN YOU HAVE CIVIL RIGHTS UNDER THREAT, WHEREVER YOU LIVE. And "I don't really care about the politics there" is morally indefensible and intellectually indolent.

i really cant understand why you've keep on attacking people who you think does not agree with you. that's very intolerant. and you said you're all for civil rights.
My last comment - you are presumably a gay man. You state that you don't care what happens to gay people vis-a-vis our civil rights in the rest of the world. Then claim I'M being intolerant of YOU!... You are like the Jews telling one another how nice the German people are as the cattle trucks trundle off to Dachau, except in your case you're ogling pretty guys in speedos (which is of course fine and dandy) while gays are being persecuted the world over with greater or lesser degrees of viciousness (which is not fine and dandy), and about which you claim not to care. Then in a piece de resistance of tortured logic, claim your blog is "apolitical" when it has just hosted a banner (!!!) appealing to religious bigots to vote theocratic hate. Let's hope that one day (I suspect you're quite young) you find the moral and intellectual maturity you seem to lack. I'm done. Anything else would be a waste of breath.
